2009-2012	Organismo Público Puertos del Estado /Autoridad Portuaria de la  Bahía de Algeciras Scientific Consultant. n  Project: SAMPA (Autonomous system for measurement, prediction and warning)                         Main activities: -       I+D for establish an operational meteorological mesoscale model over Strait of Gibraltar to improve wind, waves and tides forecasts. -       Validation and optimization of the model setup. -       Realization of benchmark tests and different models comparison. -       Optimisation of the operational environment. -       Preparation of scientific documentation.
2010-	HP-Taysa Syvalue Scientific Consultant. n  Project: Benchmarking of Harmonie Model for new AEMET supercomputer offer proposal.                         Main activities: -       Compilation and optimization of Harmonie model on a HP BL2x220c g6 Linux Cluster. -       Validation of the atmospheric simulations. -       Meteorological consulting. -       Preparation of the scientific documentation for the final offer
2008-2009	CENER (National Renewable Energy Centre) Scientific Consultant. n  Project: Atmospheric Pattern Classification for Wind Power Maps generation                         Main activities: -       Atmospheric pattern classification by means ECMWF reanalysis data during 30-year  period (1976-2006) to obtain wind power generation maps. -       Validation of the pattern classification results. -       Software development to identify atmospheric patterns in CENER´s mesoscale model data base using NCEP analysis as input. -       Optimisation of the operational environment. -       Preparation of scientific documentation.
2007-2009	AEMET (Spanish Meteorological Agency) Associate Researcher n  Project: HIRLAM-SREPS (HIRLAM-Short-Range Ensemble Prediction System)                         Main activities: -       Set up operational short-range EPS to obtain probabilistic forecasts on meteorological extreme situations.  -       Bias correction and Bayesian Model Averaging studies. -       Application development to improve the probabilistic forecast interpretation -       Administration and optimisation of the operational suite. -       Add new mesoscale models to the SREPS.
2008-2009	Developmental Testbed Center Boulder (CO) Visitor Researcher n  Project: Implementation and validation of WRF model as ensemble member of a probabilistic prediction system over Europe                       Main activities: -       Implementing modifications to WRF model to be a AEMET-EPS member to obtain probabilistic forecasts.  -       Verification of the new WRF members against observations and previous members of de AEMET system.
2005-2007	INM (Spanish Meteorological Institute) Associate Researcher n  Project: SREPS Generation.                         Main activities: -       Improvement and optimization of short-range EPS to obtain probabilistic forecasts on meteorological extreme situations.  -       Creation of shell-script codes and Metview macros to postprocess and verify the probabilistic forecasts. -       Bias correction and Bayesian Model Averaging studies. -       Administration and optimisation of the pre-operational suite.
2003-2005	INM (Spanish Meteorological Institute) Associate Researcher n  Project: HONEYMOON (High resOlution Numerical wind EnergY Model for On- and Offshore forecastiNg using  ensemble predictions; ENK5-CT-2002-00606)                Main activities: -       Preliminary studies to develop a short-range EPS to obtain probabilistic forecasts on meteorological extreme situations.  -       Implementation of different sub ensemble systems: multi-model, multi-physics and multi-analysis. -       Administration and optimisation of the  pre-operational suite.
2002-	UCM / MCAM group (Meteorology and Climate Applications and Modelling) Associate Researcher n  Project: WAUDIT                             Main activities: -       I+D of a mesoscale short-range multi-analysis multi-physics EPS over the Iberian peninsula.  -       Bias correction and Bayesian Model Averaging studies. -       Software development to automatize the system, massive data storage, verification and graphical representation tools. n  Project: Desarrollo y Aplicación de un Sistema de Predicción por Conjuntos para la Península Ibérica (SIPCO)”. REF: CGL2007-61328 (2007-2010)                             Main activities: -       I+D of a mesoscale short-range multi-analysis multi-physics EPS over the Iberian peninsula.  -       Bias correction and Bayesian Model Averaging studies. -       Software development to automatize the system, massive data storage, verification and graphical representation tools. n  Project: Multi-scale data assimilation, advanced wind modelling and forecasting with emphasis to extreme weather situations for a safe large-scale wind power integration (SAFEWIND). 2000 -2002	I+D Ericsson España Software Developer n  Projects:  Software development for SS7 subsystem 7  for SCCP y TCAP levels on Ericcsson over AXE de Ericsson central telephony systems following ITU, MPT y TTC standards.        Main activities: -       Software development -       Continuous training process for the I+D transfer of MPT and ANSI protocol to the centre. -       Member of the maintenance group with DM certificate. -       Trouble shooting implementing ASA corrections for SS7 subsystem.
